Red River Roadway

The Red River Roadway is your ticket to Texas Hill Country. On this route, you’ll be able to see both natural landscapes and quaint small towns. For the most part, this route lies between Lewisville Lake and Ray Roberts Lake, so you can enjoy some time by the water, too.

Cedar Hill State Park

At Cedar Hill State Park on Joe Pool Lake, you’ll find dense foliage and winding roads that will make you feel as if you’ve separated entirely from the hustle and bustle of the city. It manages this impressive feat while being less than 20 miles from Dallas. Plus, the park is a pristine place for a picnic on a nice day, so it’s a great destination for a short road trip with a scenic drive.

Dixie Overland Highway

The Dixie Overland Highway is one of the most iconic roads in the country, stretching all the way from Savannah, Georgia, to San Diego. Along the portion of the highway near Plano, you can enjoy several small towns like Grand Saline, Longview, and Marshall. In between these quaint communities, you can see the vibrant green landscapes that East Texas is so well known for.

With these routes in mind, a scenic drive is never too far away in Plano. All you need is a quality vehicle to get you there in style.
