The Outlander Sport is a small, capable crossover that comes with lots of standard features and two engine choices. The small footprint means this SUV can zip in and around crowded streets, and its maneuverability makes it fun to take over winding back roads.

Power

The base engine for the 2021 Outlander Sport is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that generates 148 horsepower. It comes with Mitsubishi’s continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive offered as an option. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder powers the GT, bumping the horsepower up to 168.

Safety Features

No matter where your adventures bring you, it’s important to stay safe. TheĀ Outlander SportĀ comes standard with features such as stability control, hill start assist, and a full suite of air bags. Stepping up to the SE adds forward collision warning with mitigation, automatic high beam headlights, pedestrian detection, a blind-spot monitor, lane-changing assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Rain-sensing windshield wipers also come standard in the SE and are optional in the ES.

Technology

You can stay connected and entertained in the 2021 Outlander Sport with the standard Bluetooth feature. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are an option for the ES and come standard in the SE, and you can also get satellite radio, an 8-inch touch-screen display, and an extra USB port. The voice command button mounted on the steering wheel is also an option as part of the Convenience Package for the ES and comes standard with the SE.
