Located about 20 miles from Dallas, Plano, Texas, is home to creeks, parks, and gourmet restaurants to indulge you all weekend. If you want to detach from the bustle of life, consider the following relaxing spots in Plano.

Oak Point Park and Nature Reserve

Oak Point Park and Nature Reserve offers over 800 acres of outdoor beauty. There are 3.5 miles of paved trails, 5 miles of dirt, and 4.5 miles of unbeaten trails. You can jog, walk, or cycle along the trails.

You will have to take the road less traveled for the ultimate relaxation. There’s plenty to do, such as kayaking, canoeing, feeding the ducks with your kids, stand-up paddle boarding, or taking your dogs for a walk. During fall, the reserve hosts the Plano Balloon Festival, which is pretty spectacular, to say the least.

Pinstack Plano Texas

Pinstack has an amazing bowling alley with 28 lanes, a gourmet restaurant, and over 50,000 square feet of indoor space. You can host a birthday party or retreat to the restaurant and enjoy custom or on-menu delicacies.

You can also enjoy the bar, a laser tag area, private dining rooms, video game centers, rock climbing, and state-of-the-art restrooms. Pinstack is where you can spend the entire day with your kids or friends.

Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park

For ziplining connoisseurs, you’ll have quite an adventure. The longest zipline here is 423 feet long, and the highest platform is 28 feet high — not to mention the Tarzan swings. The course has 40 crossings with a different dose of adrenaline on each. Be sure to bring closed-toe sneakers and have a good snack before the ziplining. The entire ziplining journey across the park takes two to three hours.
