Kids thrive with places to explore and be active. Plano, Texas, is a great city for kid-friendly activities with its surrounding parks, forests, lakes, and other attractions. Here are two fun things to do with kids in the area.

  1. Go Ape Adventure Park

Ideal for older kids, Go Ape Adventure Park offers unforgettable experiences to those who want to fly high. Ages 10 and up are welcome to come and experience the zip lines, Tarzan swings, and obstacle courses this place has to offer. Located at Oak Point Park, the Plano Go Ape adventure features four zip lines and a suspended obstacle course more than 27 feet above the ground. You’ll need to book your visit ahead of time and allow up to 3 hours to complete the high-ropes course.

  1. Crayola Experience

The Crayola Experience is a great option for all ages. Open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., this place is bigger than a football field and loaded with fun activities ranging from exciting shows to hands-on experiences. The Colossal Caddy invites kids to sit down at the table with thousands of crayons and create. Other attractions include the Adventure Lab, Cafe Crayola, Molding Madness, and the Crayola Factory Show.

Don’t forget to stop by the Crayola Store before you leave. Kids and adults can find unique gifts and art supplies, like Crayola activity sets and crayon packs, to help encourage creativity at home.

Next time you’re looking for something fun to enjoy with your kiddos, head to one of these local spots. There’s always something fun to do in Plano.
